A recent controversy involving language on an Air India flight has taken a new turn. YouTuber and social media influencer Mahi Khan had earlier claimed that he was threatened by a fellow passenger for not speaking Marathi during a flight from Kolkata to Mumbai. However, new details suggest that the incident may have been presented online in a misleading manner.

According to the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Mahi Khan allegedly projected the situation falsely on social media to gain attention, likes, and views. As a result, the woman passenger involved in the video reportedly lost her job, claiming she was portrayed negatively without reason.

MNS leader Avinash Jadhav shared a new video of the woman, who stated that she only requested Khan to speak Marathi as he was travelling to Mumbai. She said that the influencer exaggerated the situation and played the victim card, which ultimately cost her professional reputation and employment.

MNS has accused Mahi Khan of creating a “one-sided narrative” and misleading the public. The party also said that Khan has now removed one of his controversial videos from his Instagram account after backlash.

Avinash Jadhav has issued a strong warning to the influencer, saying action will be taken, and the truth behind the video will not remain hidden.

What Happened on the Flight?

The issue began when Mahi Khan uploaded a video claiming that a woman passenger confronted him and said that anyone coming to Mumbai must know Marathi. He alleged that she threatened him by saying they would “meet after landing.” He called the comments discriminatory and claimed they went against India’s principle of unity in diversity.

Khan demanded strict action from Air India, including a possible flying ban on the woman. However, in the latest video, the woman stated that Khan intentionally filmed and posted the situation to present himself as a victim for social media attention, and that she never threatened him.

The matter has now escalated into a political issue, with the MNS openly supporting the woman and condemning the influencer’s alleged misuse of social media.

The controversy continues, and Air India has not yet issued a detailed official statement on the incident.
