The 26-second-long video depicts the police vehicle navigating through a crowded emergency ward, with security officials seen clearing the path by moving stretchers with patients.
Inside the jeep, several police officers can be observed as it swiftly maneuvers through the ward. While the authenticity of the video is yet to be independently verified, it has raised significant questions and concerns among viewers.
Sandeep Kumar Singh, the public relations officer of AIIMS Rishikesh, stated that he was unaware of how the police vehicle gained access to and exited the AIIMS premises. He assured that further details would be provided following a thorough investigation into the matter.
In response to inquiries, Vinesh Kumar, the AIIMS outpost in charge, clarified that the police followed the route guided by AIIMS security. He questioned the controversy surrounding their exit through the emergency ward, emphasizing the adherence to prescribed procedures.
The incident comes amidst allegations of sexual misconduct within the hospital premises. Satish Kumar, a nursing officer, was detained by the police following accusations of molesting a junior resident doctor while on duty in the trauma surgery unit. Additionally, he reportedly sent her obscene text messages, as confirmed by Rishikesh Kotwali SHO Shankar Singh Bisht to news agency.
As the investigation unfolds, the incident has reignited discussions regarding security protocols within medical facilities and the handling of sensitive matters involving law enforcement interventions.
