Viral Video: Doc hit with iron rod at a hospital in Maharashtra

A fight broke out in a government hospital in Maharashtra on Thursday, and the result was that a woman doctor was struck on the head with an iron rod. The hospital’s CCTV camera captured the fight, and people have been sharing the footage on social media.

A group of men can be seen attacking a patient at the Ghati Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in the video.

A resident physician was injured during the altercation when she was struck in the head by an iron rod. The patient was being severely beaten despite the security staff’s best efforts to stop them.

Seven persons were involved in the incident; the police have filed a case against them. Investigations are still ongoing, and five accused parties have been placed under arrest.

An assault victim disclosed that the attack began as a parking dispute between him and a nearby shopkeeper that turned violent at the hospital.

NCP MP Supriya Sule took it to X “Doctors working at Ghati Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar have not received their stipend for the past few months. These doctors are facing financial difficulties due to this. However, it is requested that the Minister of Medical Education should pay immediate personal attention to this matter and take action regarding giving stipend to these doctors.”
