Wanowrie citizens unite to beautify its walls
A wall beautification activity organised by Wanawadi Residents Forum with support from Pune Municipal Corporation saw huge participation of local citizens. Senior artist Rajeshwari Karle and her student Omkar Pawar led the activity which was well supported by Spandana Akkina and Indraneel Garai which helped immensely in making this event successful.
The painting work saw young and old from the Kondhwa, Wanawadi, NIBM road and Bibvewadi who enthusiastically participated in making the dull wall look bright and colourful. Local Corporator Prabhag 25 Kalinda Punde appreciated the efforts taken by the residents of Wanowrie and also honoured the artist for his commendable work. The event ended on a crispy note as each participant enjoyed piping hot samosas sponsored by Anupam Bir, a resident of Ganga Satellite.

Wanawadi Residents Forum thanked Sameer Shah who generously sponsored the spray paints, NIBM Road Residents Forum, Rotary Club of Poona Central and Rotary Club of NIBM and Pune Municipal Corporation’s support from DSI Mujawar and his entire team of Wanawadi Ramtekdi ward office was excellent and much needed to make this event grand and successful. The three day event concluded on Sunday, January 30, 2022.
