Wanowrie gets its first EV charging station

First electric vehicle charging station was installed at former Indian National Congress corporator Abhijit Chandrakant Shivarkar‘s office in Wanowrie near Shivarkar hospital.

The intention of the initiative is to make Wanowrie Clean, Green and Environment Friendly Suburb.

Abhijit Shivarkar after the inaugural programme said that the charging station will be available free of cost for the next one month.

‘It is one of the cheapest mode of transport and the future of automobile industry is electric vehicles. We must all adopt ecofriendly initiatives to make our planet a better place to live by adopting such green initiatives.’, added Shivarkar.

The inauguration ceremony saw attendance of Chandrakant alias Balasaheb Shivarkar, former minister for state, Maharashtra and senior Congress leader, ex Corporator Kavita Shivarkar, Dr. Daniel Penkar, Maithili Manakwad, Sachin Parmar (President Rotary Club of Poona), Dheeman Kadam, director goEgo and many residents of Wanowrie and environment enthusiasts.
