The century-old low lying bridge is linked betweenĀ Canning Road in Camp and Mahadji Shinde Marg in Wanowrie.Ā 

In the 2019 monsoon, three vehicles washed away in the nullah water and three people lost their lives. Pune Municipal Corporation received the consent from Pune Cantonment Board to carry out the work.

The newly constructed bridge over Bhairoba nala is now officially opened for the traffic. The bridge had become life threatening due to its structure getting damaged over the years and also due to monsoons in theĀ last few years. The structural damage to the bridge had led to construction of a new one.Ā 

The bridge was demolished in October 2022 and since then work to lay new storm water lines and sewage lines was carried out after which the bridge was built. The new bridge is 24 meter long and 12 meter wide and is 1.5 meter taller than the previous bridge. PMC had allotted funds of Rs 3 crores toĀ buildĀ this bridge.Ā Ā
