Actress Adah Sharma recently captivated her fans with an unexpected blend of traditional and contemporary as she showcased her impeccable lip-syncing skills to Eminem’s “Rap God” while adorned in a Bharatanatyam costume.

The 31-year-old actress, known for her versatility, seamlessly synchronized with the rap verses, showcasing expressive nuances complemented by bold makeup.

Sharing the clip with her 9.2 million Instagram followers, Adah responded to public demand with a PG-13 rendition, garnering over 1.9 million likes.

While many praised her unique performance, others jokingly requested lessons on memorizing the periodic table elements.

Adah, who began learning dance at a young age and holds a Kathak graduation from Natraj Gopi Krishna Kathak Dance Academy in Mumbai, clarified that she filmed the clip after a Bharatanatyam performance.

Despite receiving praise, some critics questioned the fusion of traditional attire with modern rap, prompting Adah to explain the context. In 2023, Adah gained national attention for her role in the controversial film “The Kerala Story,” centered around the alleged radicalization of Kerala women by ISIS fundamentalists. Her upcoming film, “Bastar: The Naxal Story,” is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 15, 2024.
