Unseasonal Rain Alert in Maharashtra For March 18: Yellow Warning Issued for 24 Districts, Thunderstorms Expected on Wednesday
Pune, November 2, 2025: Despite the arrival of November, Maharashtra continues to experience persistent rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has once again issued a Yellow Alert for several districts in Western Maharashtra and Marathwada, warning of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds on Monday.
According to the latest forecast, Mumbai and its suburbs are expected to witness cloudy skies with light to moderate rain, with maximum temperatures around 31°C and minimum temperatures near 24°C. Similar weather conditions are predicted across the Konkan region.
In Western Maharashtra, districts such as Pune, Sangli, and Solapur are likely to receive rain accompanied by lightning and thunder, while Solapur has been placed under a Yellow Alert.
Meanwhile, Nashik and Ahmednagar in North Maharashtra may see rain with strong winds, whereas Dhule, Nandurbar, and Jalgaon are expected to experience cloudy conditions without significant rainfall.
In Marathwada, the IMD has predicted intense rainfall with thunderstorms in Dharashiv (Osmanabad), Latur, and Beed, accompanied by winds gusting between 30–40 km/h. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Hingoli, and Nanded may see light showers.
Across Vidarbha, skies will remain cloudy with a slight rise in temperatures, though no major rain alert has been issued for Monday.
Even after the weakening of Cyclone Motha, unseasonal rainfall continues to affect several parts of Maharashtra. The IMD has cautioned that similar weather patterns may persist until November 5, urging farmers and residents to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
