On Friday, July 19, scattered thunderstorms are likely in southern Chhattisgarh, southern Odisha, eastern Maharashtra, and the Himalayan foothills. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in Telangana, northeastern Andhra Pradesh, southern Chhattisgarh, southern Odisha, coastal Maharashtra, Goa, coastal Karnataka, and Kerala. The Thar Desert in Rajasthan may experience maximum temperatures of 40°C or higher.

A low-pressure area is situated over southeast Madhya Pradesh, accompanied by a cyclonic circulation extending to the middle tropospheric levels, tilting southwestwards with height. The monsoon trough is active and south of its normal position, expected to remain so for the next 4-5 days. A shear zone runs in the lower and middle tropospheric levels along 19°N, tilting southwards with height. Additionally, an offshore trough extends from South Gujarat to North Kerala at mean sea level. A new low-pressure area is likely to form over the West-central and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal around July 19.

- Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Vidarbha on July 18 and 20; Chhattisgarh on July 19-20; Telangana from July 19-21; Madhya Pradesh, Konkan-Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Saurashtra-Kutch, and Coastal and South Interior Karnataka during the next five days.
- Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is likely over Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Saurashtra-Kutch, and Konkan-Goa on July 18.
