Western Avenue celebrates ‘Environment Day’; plants 100 saplings

Western Avenue society in Wakad celebrated ‘Environment Day’ in presence of area politician, Rahul Kalate. Nearly, 40 kids participated in the event to plant more than 100 species of plants.

Nalin Porwal, a committee member of the Western Avenue society while talking to Pune Pulse said, “We invited Rahul Kalate for the event and in return asked us to extend our initiative out of society, too, in the neighboring areas and in the newly opened garden.

We have not received any official confirmation from him yet but we are hoping for it soon.”
The society is planning to plant saplings in the newly inaugurated public park in the Wakad.
