Samvad App, a potential rival to WhatsApp, has successfully passed the DRDO security test, clearing Trust Assurance Level 4 (TAL-4).

The app is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. This information was shared by DRDO on its social media platform.

Samvad has been garnering attention as a potential alternative to WhatsApp due to its similar features. The app has been in the news for a while now, and its launch process is gradually progressing.

Currently, a beta version of the Samvad app can be downloaded from the CDoT website. Users need to sign up by entering their email address, department, group, organization, location, and other details. However, the app is not yet available for public launch.

The official release date for the general public has not been announced yet. The government is yet to confirm when the app will be made available to everyone.

Samvad is considered a potential alternative to WhatsApp. According to the CDoT website, the platform offers encrypted messaging and group chat capabilities. It also includes a calling option and allows users to set statuses similar to WhatsApp.

Additionally, users can share images, videos, documents, contacts, locations, and other details on the app. Samvad is expected to offer even more features similar to WhatsApp.

The successful completion of the DRDO security test is a significant step towards the launch of Samvad App. The app has the potential to become a viable alternative to WhatsApp in the Indian market, especially with its focus on security and privacy. The government’s decision to make the app available to the general public will be closely watched.
