Woman Rescued from fire in Dhankawadi Society; Find Out More
A woman was safely rescued by the PMC Fire Team from a massive fire in a residential society in Dhankawadi area.
As per further information shared by Subhash Jadhav, Fire Officer, PMC, on 28th October 2023 (Saturday) at 8:46 pm, on receiving a tip off about fire on the first floor of a three storied building in Sridhar Nagar in Dhankawadi, the fire brigade dispatched a fire engine from Kanja and Janata Fire Station.
On reaching the spot, the fire officers saw that a fire broke out in a flat on the first floor and a lot of smoke was generated. At the same time, as a woman was trapped in a room due to smoke, jawans immediately entered the room wearing protective gears and took the woman out safely, while other jawans threw water on the fire and extinguished the fire completely in about fifteen minutes.
The exact cause of the fire could not be ascertained, but the house was damaged in the fire and household items were burnt.
Fire Officer Subhash Jadhav and drivers Vishal Bobde, Rishi Bibwe and Tandel Vasant Bhilare, Sanjay Jadhav and jawans Kiran Patil, Mahesh Gargote, Ajit Landge, Niranjan Gaikwad, Sanket Shelar, Vinay Nikam participated in this operation.
