Wooden furniture stolen from National Green Tribunal’s store room in Pune

Pune: According to a complaint filed by a section officer, a wooden centre table and four chairs worth Rs 4000 were stolen from the store department of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Pune office.

The incident happened between 5:30 pm of 25 January to 9:00 am of  26 January on the ground floor of the new administrative building of the NGT store room.

According to a complaint filed by section officer Vijay Singh, the NGT has its store room at the ground floor of the new administrative building, where old furniture and computers are stored and they keep it locked.

Singh in his complaint mentioned that, an unknown person entered the NGT’s store room by breaking the lock of the room and stole stored wooden furniture worth Rs 4000.

Police sub inspector, Sachin Pawar at Bund Garden Police Station said,“As per the complaint filed by Singh, we have registered a case under 454,457,380 sections of the IPC and investigation is going on.’’

As a part of the investigation, police are analysing the CCTV footage in the locality to ascertain the identity of the thief.
