34 – year – old duped of Rs 94 lakhs under pretext of completing online tasks

Pune: A 34-year-old man reportedly fell victim to a cyber scam in which he was lured into completing a task for an online part-time job. The cyber police have registered an FIR in response to this incident.

According to the complaint filed by Harshal Shimpi of Shivar, he was approached by cyber fraudsters who offered him a task under the guise of an online part-time job. However, despite completing the task, he did not receive any compensation.

The suspects then proceeded to defraud him of Rs 94,13,441 by instructing him to transfer money to various accounts using different mobile numbers and Telegram IDs. Police has taken action by registering an FIR in this case.
