According to Prof. Kumar, CUET-PG exams were conducted in 565 centers, spanning 253 cities, with participation from nine international locations. The exams, held from March 11 to 28, 2024, were conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, ensuring a standardized and efficient evaluation process.
Prof. Kumar highlighted the extensive preparation involved in organizing the exams, including the creation of question papers by a team of 950 experts and 200 translators. The exams covered a wide range of subjects, with question papers meticulously designed to assess candidates’ knowledge and skills.
The introduction of CUET-PG aims to provide equal opportunities to candidates from diverse backgrounds and geographical locations. By offering a common platform for admissions into postgraduate programs across central and state universities, the exam facilitates greater access to higher education.
The UGC Chairman also provided updates on CUET (UG)-2024 for undergraduate admissions, indicating that the application deadline has been extended to March 31, 2024, in response to requests from candidates and stakeholders.
