Punjab: A birthday celebration in Patiala, Punjab, turned into a tragedy when a 10-year-old girl passed away after consuming cake.
The family reported that their daughter died shortly after eating the birthday cake, with other family members also falling ill. The incident took place on March 24. Narrating the incident, the grandfather of the deceased Manvi said, the family ordered cake at around 6 pm and they celebrated her birthday at around 7pm.

“At around 11 pm, the whole family fell ill. The two younger daugthers started vomiting. There were five people at home at that time. While the youngest daughter Preman’s life was saved as she vomited the cake, we lost Manvi.” he said
Legal action has been taken against the bakery shop owner under Sections 273 and 304A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
