Pune: 7 children were seen fighting with each other and causing a nuisance at the Civil Court Metro station on Monday. Surprisingly, they were found without their parents or guardians.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Dr Hemant Sonawane, Executive Director, Public Relations And Administration, Pune Metro, said “There is no rule as such about children must be with their parents or guardians mandatorily on a Metro station. These children were just quarrelling amongst themselves on Civil Court Station. However, nothing serious happened. That seemed to be just a friendly quarrel which often keeps happening between kids.”

As per further information, the children were seen at the Pune Metro Civil Court station on September 25 in the afternoon. They had purchased tickets from the Pune Metro Shivaji Nagar and Deccan. First, they got on the Pune Metro at Shivajinagar. Then, they got off at Civil Court. On their way back, they got off again at Civil Court. The kids were talking to each other loudly, patting each other and pushing each other. Then, three to four kids started arguing with each other and got into a physical altercation. One of the kids was pushed to the Metro door. A few passengers intervened and broke up the fight between the kids.

It is worthy to note that in the event of an altercation, there is a panic button in the Metro train that commuters should press. If children, teenagers or adults are involved in an altercation, passengers can press the panic button and notify the control room. The offenders will be detained at the next station.
