Pune News: Tragedy Strikes During Religious Rituals As 2 Students Drown, 2 Rescued, 1 Injured in Moshi

A tragic incident occurred on August 19, 2024, at 08:30 am, during the Shravani Upakarma rituals in Moshi, Pune, resulting in the drowning of two students, while two others were rescued, and one was injured.
The victims who lost their lives are Pranav Ramakant Potdar (17) from Khada Ashti, Beed, and Omkar Srikrishna Pathak (16) from Padmavati Galli, Latur. Archit Dixit and Chaitanya Pathak were rescued from the water.
Jai Omprakash Daima (19), was injured during the incident and is currently undergoing medical treatment at YCMH hospital, where Guruji Nande is also present.
“The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Fire Rescue Team carried out a rescue operation, saving two students from the water. The cause of the incident is still unknown and is under investigation.” Fire department officer Dilip Gaikwad stated.
