Rajesh Rawani, a long-time truck driver from Jamtara, Jharkhand, has experienced an unexpected surge in online popularity. Over the course of his twenty-year career, Rajesh developed a keen interest in cooking, which led him to launch a YouTube channel named R Rajesh Vlogs.
This channel has captured the attention of over 1.86 million subscribers, propelling Rajesh into the spotlight. His newfound fame has enabled him to acquire a new residence and finance the construction of his first home.
In a recent discussion with Sidharth Kannan, Rajesh elaborated on his financial situation, revealing that he earns between ₹25,000 and ₹30,000 monthly from his trucking job.
His income from YouTube, however, varies significantly based on viewer engagement, typically ranging from ₹4-5 lakh, with his peak earnings hitting ₹10 lakh in a particularly successful month. Rajesh shared that his initial viral video was a simple face reveal, which, thanks to his son’s involvement, garnered 4.5 lakh views in just one day.
Despite facing a severe accident that injured his hand, Rajesh has persisted in his driving career, motivated by his family’s needs and the ongoing house project. He attributes his ability to juggle both trucking and content creation to the support of his family. Reflecting on his past, Rajesh recalled that his father, also a driver, was the sole provider for their family of five, sending ₹500 each month. This amount was frequently inadequate, compelling the family to rely on loans to make ends meet.
In his latest video, posted at 11:30 AM on August 18, Rajesh addresses the ongoing Bihar floods while en route to Guwahati. He notes that he still has 850 kilometers to cover before reaching his destination. Rajesh continues to balance his dual roles with dedication, demonstrating resilience and adaptability both on the road and online.
