The Bangiya Samsad Nagar Road (BSNR) has won the prestigious Best Protima award at the Pune Sarodh Sonman 2024, emerging victorious among 72 Durga Puja celebrations across Pune. This remarkable achievement has filled the members of BSNR in Vimannagar with immense pride.
BSNR, a registered charitable organization, is celebrated its 20th Shree Shree Durga Puja at the Symbiosis Institute Ground, Vimannagar. The celebrations include Maha Ashtami Puja followed by the sacred Sandhi Puja, a ritual commemorating Devi Durga’s victory over Mahishasura. The rituals involved offerings of 108 lotuses, earthen lamps, hibiscus, and Belpatra, along with Vedic recitations invoking Goddess Chandi.
BSNR also organized Annadan (free food distribution) on October 10th, 11th, and 12th, and served over 2,000 people daily. Vice-President Dr. Bidhan Datta expressed gratitude to all who came foreward.
BSNR celebrated today, Mahanabomi and Kumari Puja.
“Kumari Puja” is the special attraction of our Durga Puja. 12th October on the day of Mahanabomi, we worship a girl child and perform “Matri Aradhana” as a symbolic representation to tribute honour and respect to whole female community as Maa (Matrirupen Sansthita), and seek her blessings for the peace and harmony to the whole mankind,” said Dr. Bidhan Datta
