Nashik Phata to Khed Elevated Corridor Naming Proposal for Ratan Tata Submitted to Nitin Gadkari
BJP MLA Mahesh Landge has requested that the ambitious Nashik Phata to Khed Elevated Corridor in Pimpri-Chinchwad be named after Padma Bhushan Ratan Tata. A formal petition regarding this has been submitted to the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari.
Recently, Padma Bhushan Sir Ratan Tata, a great son of India who elevated the nation’s reputation worldwide in the fields of industry and social work, passed away. The entire nation expressed sorrow and observed a period of mourning.
Pimpri-Chinchwad, known as an industrial city, has greatly benefited from the Tata Group’s contributions to its development. Tata Motors was instrumental in initiating the industrial sector in the city. Today, Pimpri-Chinchwad is progressing as an IT, automotive, and industrial hub.
MLA Mahesh Landge stated, “We in Pimpri-Chinchwad have immense respect for the Tata Group and Ratan Tata. The central government recently approved the Nashik Phata to Khed elevated highway on the Pune-Nashik route, with a budget of around ₹7,500 crores. Naming this elevated corridor after Ratan Tata would be fitting.”
The Nashik Phata to Khed Elevated Corridor is expected to be a vital link between residential and industrial areas, providing a new dimension to the city’s progress. Naming this significant project as the “Ratan Tata Elevated Corridor” would ensure that the people of Pimpri-Chinchwad and Pune always remember the late Ratan Tata. This sentiment was expressed by MLA Landge
