Will Address Water Supply, Traffic Congestion, and River Pollution on Priority: Shankar Jagtap
Chinchwad: Water scarcity, traffic congestion, and river pollution remain the key issues in the Chinchwad constituency. To address these, the Mahayuti government has initiated multiple measures, including improving water availability from Pavana River, Bhama Askhed, and Andra Dam, and enhancing connectivity through metro projects and ring roads. Projects like river rejuvenation are also underway to resolve these concerns. Mahayuti candidate Shankar Jagtap urged residents to support him in the elections to strengthen the government’s efforts.
Addressing a massive campaign rally in Chinchwad village, BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP-RPI (A) alliance candidate Shankar Pandurang Jagtap received a warm reception with a grand procession in a horse-drawn chariot. Residents turned up in large numbers to extend their support.
During his campaign, Jagtap visited several residential complexes and interacted with residents, including Navtarun Mitra Mandal, Padwal Ali, Indira Park, Gokhale Vrindavan, Shantiban, and many others. Representatives from public groups and social organizations such as Shri Kalbhairavnath Mitra Mandal and Nav Gajanan Mitra Mandal also expressed their confidence in Jagtap’s leadership and handed over letters of support.
Prominent leaders like senior NCP leader Hanumant Gawde, former mayor Aparna Doke, and former deputy mayor Sachin Chinchawade, along with a host of other dignitaries, party members, and supporters, attended the rally in large numbers.
Jagtap reiterated the legacy of late MLA Laxman Jagtap, emphasizing that his politics focused on development and resolving public issues. He assured the residents that he would uphold these values and work diligently with the state government to resolve Chinchwad’s long-standing issues.
“We must ensure development remains a priority, and I pledge to address Chinchwad’s pressing concerns with utmost dedication,” said Jagtap.
