Inside Jackie Shroff’s Lush Farmhouse Near Pune: 700 Plants, Amphitheatre, and a Stunning ‘Titanic’ View
Choreographer and director Farah Khan, along with her longtime assistant Dilip, recently took their viewers on a tour of Jackie Shroff’s serene farmhouse, tucked away from the bustling streets of Mumbai.
Known for sharing intimate glimpses of celebrity homes, the duo explored Shroff’s sprawling estate in the latest episode of Fun With Farah Khan, blending laughter, light-hearted banter, and fascinating insights into the actor’s life away from the cameras.
Sprawling across an impressive 44,000 square feet, Jackie Shroff’s farmhouse is a haven of tranquility and luxury. The property boasts a small man-made lake where he keeps fish, surrounded by roaming farm animals such as hens and ducks.
Dilip jokingly remarked that he wanted to take a swim in the lake, only for Farah to steer him toward the jacuzzi, where Jackie himself was enjoying the cool, cloudy weather beside the swimming pool.
The estate is enveloped in greenery, featuring around 700 plants including roses, giloy, and mulberry trees. During the tour, Farah asked Jackie if he often shared plants from his farmhouse with others, to which he happily agreed.
Among the greenery, Jackie introduced them to a special Kadama tree, which he planted 12 years ago in memory of his mother. This tree holds significance in Hindu mythology, believed to be the very spot where Radha and Krishna spent time together beneath its shade.
The farmhouse also houses a charming amphitheatre, perfect for gatherings or small events. From there, the trio made their way to what Jackie calls the ‘Titanic Spot’—an iron-clad platform offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding farms and natural landscape.
Farah was visibly impressed and asked if filming was permitted on the property. Jackie warmly replied that everything was allowed for her, showing his generous and hospitable nature.
The visit concluded with a trip to Jackie’s kitchen, where he cooked a wholesome meal featuring amaranth saag, baigan bharta, a kanji-style rice preparation, and fresh roti. The farmhouse itself embodies a rustic yet minimalist charm, built thoughtfully with love and attention to detail.
