A routine journey from Nagpur to Pune almost ended in tragedy when a car caught fire moments after crashing on the Samruddhi Mahamarg. The incident took place near Bangav Lahuki Phata, where the driver failed to notice a speed breaker and lost control. The car rammed into the central divider and went up in flames within seconds.
All five passengers managed to jump out quickly, preventing serious injuries. The vehicle was completely gutted.
This spot has now seen its third similar accident, with motorists demanding that highway authorities take immediate corrective action to prevent further mishaps on the high-speed corridor.
