Mumbai, February 19, 2026: Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has resigned from her position as Senior Vice President at Axis Bank, bringing to a close a professional association spanning 23 years.

Announcing her decision on social media, Amruta reflected on her journey with the bank, which began when she joined as a Management Trainee. Over the years, she advanced through various roles before taking on the responsibilities of Senior Vice President.

In her farewell message, she described the bank as more than just a workplace, calling it a source of learning, growth and enduring relationships. She expressed appreciation for the guidance and encouragement she received from colleagues and senior leadership during her tenure.

Amruta also extended special thanks to the bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Amitabh Chaudhry, acknowledging his support.

As she signed off, she said she leaves the organisation with a sense of gratitude, carrying forward valuable lessons and lifelong friendships from what she described as a meaningful chapter in her life.
