Maharashtra Weather Update | February 27, 2026:  Maharashtra is set to experience a sharp rise in temperatures, with the state witnessing dry, hot, and humid weather conditions, according to an alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Weather conditions on February 28 are expected to remain largely dry, clear to partly cloudy, with maximum temperatures likely to stay 2 to 4 degrees Celsius above normal across many regions.

The IMD has indicated that the state is gradually transitioning into summer-like conditions, with a noticeable increase in daytime temperatures, marking the beginning of heatwave-like patterns in several parts of Maharashtra.

Regional Weather Forecast

Konkan Region

Cities including Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg will continue to experience hot and humid weather.

  • Mumbai temperatures: 29–31°C (max) and 23–25°C (min)
  • High humidity levels will make conditions feel more uncomfortable and oppressive.

Western Maharashtra

Areas such as Pune, Satara, Sangli, and Kolhapur will witness dry and hot weather.

  • Pune temperatures: 31–33°C (max) and 14–16°C (min)

North Maharashtra

Cities like Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon, and Nandurbar will see temperature fluctuations.

  • Nashik: 32–34°C (day) and 16–19°C (night)

Marathwada Region

Districts including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, Latur, Nanded, Parbhani, and Dharashiv will experience dry and intense heat.

  • Maximum temperatures: 33–36°C
  • Minimum temperatures: 18–20°C

Vidarbha Region

Cities such as Nagpur, Amravati, Akola, Washim, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, and Buldhana are expected to face the highest heat levels in the state.

  • Maximum temperatures: 34–37°C
  • Minimum temperatures: 19–22°C
