Khandala, July 6, 2026: Heavy rainfall has disrupted rail traffic on the Mumbai-Pune route after a tree fell near Khandala railway station and landed directly on the Overhead Electric (OHE) wire.
The incident caused visible sparks from the OHE line, affecting train operations on the busy rail corridor. Railway authorities have been alerted, and efforts are underway to remove the obstruction and restore normal services.
Continuous heavy rain has significantly impacted both rail and road transport on the Mumbai-Pune route, with authorities remaining on high alert as the monsoon conditions persist.
