Pune: The Swargate Multi-Modal hub of Pune Metro was inspected by the Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar. 

Additionally, he travelled by metro from the Civil Court to Shivaji Nagar underground station. The PCMC Metro Station to Swargate Metro Station line is now open for passengers from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Metro Station to Civil Court Metro Station.

Furthermore, the line from Vanaz Metro Station to Ramwadi Metro Station to Ruby Hall Clinic Metro Station is also open for travel. The remaining portion of the line, from Ruby Hall Clinic Metro Station to Ramwadi Metro Station and Civil Court Metro Station to Swargate Metro Station, is currently being worked on at a rapid pace and will be opened for passenger service soon.

The line from Ruby Hall Clinic Metro Station to Ramwadi Metro Station has recently undergone testing and is expected to be completed in December, making it ready for passenger service. Additionally, the underground line from Civil Court Metro Station to Swargate Metro Station may be opened for passenger service in April. To assess the progress of the remaining work Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar conducted a review of the underground station and multi-modal hub at Swargate at 9.30 am recently.

As per the information received, various tasks such as granite installations, air conditioning systems, fall ceilings, electricity, utility rooms, and elevator escalators are being carried out at a rapid pace. Pawar inspected the works and expressed satisfaction with the speed and quality of the ongoing work.

Shravan Hardikar, Managing Director of Maha Metro provided an update on the parking facilities at Swargate Multi-Modal Hub, the pedestrian underground route leading to the MSRTC bus station, and the ongoing commercial construction. During a meeting with Ajit Pawar, Hardikar presented the plan for the total land use at Swargate Multi-Modal, which was well-received by him.

He expressed satisfaction with the construction facilities being carried out on the site and the expected transformation of the area in the near future. Following the meeting, he visited the Civil Court Interchange Metro Station, which is one of the deepest stations in India 33.1 meters deep. He then took a metro ride from Civil Court to Shivaji Nagar metro station, which is designed to be inspired by the forts and structures of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The cleanliness of the Civil Court and Shivaji Nagar Metro stations was praised by the Minister, who also instructed MahaMetro to maintain this standard in the future. Shravan Hardikar, Managing Director of Maha Metro, Vikram Kumar, Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation, Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, Additional Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation, Vikar Dhakane, Director of MahaMetro, Atul Gadgil (Works), Executive Director of MahaMetro, Hemant Sonawane were present.
