Irfan Pathan Hosts Sachin Tendulkar for the First Time at Mumbai Home

Irfan Pathan, who now mostly lives in Mumbai, recently hosted Sachin Tendulkar for dinner, which they both described as “great fun.” Sachin shared his experience on social media, expressing enjoyment of the evening, “What a night under the lights, Irfan!”
He highlighted the delicious dishes prepared by Safa, engaging stories shared by Irfan’s father, and the lively presence of Irfan’s children, making it a memorable occasion where nobody wanted the night to end.
“We’ll resume the session sometime soon,” Irfan shares, “While Sachin paaji has been to our home in Vadodara, this was the first time we hosted him at our Mumbai home. He loved our homemade delicacies and enjoyed having kebabs, nihari and biryani. He had also got homemade prawn curry for us, cooked in authentic Maharashtrian style, and it was a very sweet gesture. All of us had a great time and the kids (his and Yusuf’s sons) loved his company too.”
He adds, “Initially, Safa (his wife) was nervous about Sachin paaji coming home because he is a legend. We are glad that he loved the food and even praised it on social media. He is an amazing human being and I feel excited like a kid when he is around. Like me, he is passionate about food and music. We have great conversations on these topics.”
Sachin Tendulkar and Irfan Pathan are actively participating in the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Tendulkar is serving as a mentor for his former team, the Mumbai Indians, who have been eliminated from the IPL 2024 playoff contention despite being five-time champions.
On the other hand, Pathan is contributing to the tournament by providing commentary as part of the official commentary panel.
