Ajit Pawar Orders 24/7 Metro Work And Immediate Road Repairs To Ease Traffic In Pune
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has directed the police to allow 24-hour work on Metro Line 3, which runs between Shivajinagar and Aundh in Pune. This includes girder installation during public and government holidays, to speed up the construction. He also stressed the importance of keeping the roads under the flyover in good condition to prevent traffic jams. Pawar plans to personally inspect the metro project on September 26.
In a meeting to review the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line 3 project, Pawar discussed several issues with top officials, including road damage caused by the ongoing work. He insisted that any damaged roads or drainage systems must be fixed immediately, even using new technology if necessary, to avoid traffic problems. If repairs are not completed on time, action will be taken against the companies responsible.
For the Baner and Pashan ramps, Pawar instructed the police to allow work to continue even on public holidays. He also emphasized the need to maintain alternate roads used for traffic diversions during construction.
