According to state board directives, failure to pay fees cannot be used as a justification for denying a student their hall ticket or preventing them from taking the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education’s Class 12 examination.

It is anticipated that the concerned group education officer will give each student a hall pass. Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) chairperson Sharad Gosavi issued a warning, saying that any school found to be preventing students from taking the exam will face consequences.

Beginning on February 21, students from nine divisional boards will take the Class 12 exam. Speaking on Tuesday, Gosavi said that the students cannot be deprived of the examination for failing to pay their junior college or school fees. Strict action will be taken against the school or educational institution if we discover anyone failing to provide students with hall passes and enabling them to sit for the exam.

1,513,909 students are scheduled to take the Class 12 exam this year. The number of students taking the exam has increased this year compared to prior years. A total of 1,457,293 students took the exam in February and March of 2023. There were 56,616 students who registered for the exam this year.

In relation to this, a couple of days ago, as members of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) demonstrated against the purported denial of examination hall tickets to 10th-grade students, JSPM School in Wagholi witnessed an act of vandalism.
