Amanora School witnessed two deeply meaningful milestones as it hosted the Grade X Blessing Ceremony and the Grade XII Farewell Function on 5th February 2026, celebrating growth, gratitude, and new beginnings for its students.

The Grade X Blessing Ceremony was held on a serene and reflective morning, filled with prayer, hope, and encouragement. The ceremony marked not an end, but the beginning of an important academic journey as students prepared to face their board examinations. Surrounded by the blessings of prayer, the wisdom of the school leadership, the guidance of teachers, and the support of parents, the students stood at a significant threshold in their lives.

The occasion honoured the perseverance, resilience, friendships, and values nurtured at Amanora School—integrity, empathy, excellence, and courage. Heartfelt messages and valuable advice from Director-Principal Ms. Meera Nair, Headmistress Ms. Amrita Gangwal, and Coordinator Ms. Geetha Shivakumar inspired students to face their examinations with confidence and composure. Vice-Captain Arya Kulkarni delivered an emotional farewell speech, reminiscing about shared memories and expressing gratitude to the school. The symbolic showering of flower petals and the class photograph reflected the school’s pride, affection, and faith in the students’ futures. As they returned to their classrooms one last time, they carried blessings, belief, and the assurance that Amanora School would always remain a part of them.

The celebrations continued with the Grade XII Farewell Function, which brought together the school community for an evening of reflection, appreciation, and joyful remembrance. The programme opened with a soulful Welcome Address that set the tone for an emotional farewell to a remarkable batch that would forever remain a part of the Amanora family.

A solemn Prayer Session, led by Ms Hillary Maliakal, sought divine blessings for the success, well-being, and bright futures of the outgoing students. The Lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp marked an auspicious beginning, symbolising the dispelling of ignorance and the awakening of wisdom. The ritual was led by Director–Principal Ms. Meera Nair, Secondary School Headmistress Ms. Amrita Gangwal, along with the core team.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Meera Nair shared words of wisdom and encouragement that left a lasting impression on the students as they prepared to step out of their alma mater. One of the most poignant moments of the evening was the Oath-Taking Ceremony, where students reaffirmed their commitment to values, integrity, and excellence. This was followed by the Blessing Ceremony and the symbolic Passing of the Candles, representing the transfer of knowledge, responsibility, and the enduring legacy of Amanora School.

The Distribution of Merit Certificates recognised students who excelled academically and beyond.

The Cultural Programme added vibrancy to the evening with energetic dances, soulful musical performances, engaging games, and a delightful stand-up act. Each performance showcased the creativity, confidence, and spirit of the students, creating an ambience filled with applause, laughter, and nostalgia.

The events concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the efforts of every one who contributed to the success of both ceremonies.

Together, the Grade X Blessing Ceremony and the Grade XII Farewell stood as powerful reminders of Amanora School’s commitment to nurturing not just academic excellence, but confident, compassionate, and value-driven individuals—honouring the past while lighting the way forward.
