The air valve on the water pumping line at St Mary’s pumping station broke today morning and caused chaos among citizens and school goers passing through the area. The broken pipeline led to water wastage which halted traffic for a brief while.

When Pune Pulse spoke to Subhash Pawara, officer from St Mary’s water department, Pune Municipal corporation, he said, “The air valve in the water line was broken. It will take two hours atleast to get the issue sorted out. The water supply won’t be hampered as we will complete the repair work on war footing.”

The waterline is situated next to St Mary’s school off Pune Solapur road.
