The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025, which includes 14,191 openings for the position of Junior Associates (Clerks). This is a great opportunity for candidates looking for a stable government job that offers good salary, benefits, and career advancement. The online application process will begin on December 17, 2024, and will end on January 7, 2025. Here’s a comprehensive guide to assist you in understanding the recruitment process and applying successfully.

Application Fees:

The application fee is ₹750 for candidates in the UR/EWS categories, but those from OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories do not have to pay any fee. For more information, please check the official website at sbi.co.in.

Age Limit (As of 1/4/2024):

The following age limit details are provided for candidates to verify their eligibility for the SBI Clerk position.

– Minimum Age: 21 years  

– Maximum Age: 28 years  

– Age Relaxation: In accordance with government regulations.

Here are the age relaxation details for different categories:

  • – SC/ST: 33 years
  • – OBC: 31 years
  • – PwD General: 38 years
  • – PwD SC/ST: 43 years
  • – PwD OBC: 41 years

– Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen: Actual service period in defense + 3 years

– Widows and Divorced Women: 7 years (but the maximum age limit is 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST candidates).

Nationality:

Candidates must be Indian citizens. Additionally, citizens of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) from certain countries are also eligible. PIOs must obtain a certificate of eligibility from the Indian government.

Educational Qualification (as of 31/12/2024):

Candidates must possess a valid degree from a recognized university. Those holding an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) should verify their graduation date. Final-year students can apply provisionally, but they must complete their degree before joining. Ex-servicemen with relevant certificates after 15 years of service are also eligible. Additionally, candidates should have basic computer literacy to qualify for the SBI Clerk exam.

SBI Clerk 2025 Exam Pattern  

The SBI Clerk Exam consists of two stages: Prelims and Mains. The Prelims is a qualifying stage, while the Mains determines the final result. 

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern:  

  • – The question paper consists of 100 questions, each carrying 1 mark.  
  • – Time duration is 60 minutes.  
  • – There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.  
  • SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern:  
  • – The Mains exam is conducted online and is objective type, meaning candidates will answer questions on a computer interface by selecting the correct answers from multiple-choice options.  
  • – The total marks for the Mains exam is 200, based on performance across all sections.

Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes  

Candidates have a total of 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete the entire Mains exam. Within this time frame, they need to answer all the questions across four sections: General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude, and General/Financial Awareness. Each section has a specific time limit, so candidates must manage their time effectively to complete all the questions within the allotted durations.

Follow the steps mentioned below to apply online for the SBI Clerk 2025 exam:

Step 1: Visit the official website of SBI Careers and scroll down the page. Click on “Current Openings,” then select “Recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales),” and choose “Apply Online.”

Step 2: Click on the “NEW REGISTRATION” button located at the top right corner of the home page of the link you just accessed to start your registration process for the SBI Clerk Exam.

Step 3: Begin your application process for SBI Clerk by providing your basic details such as your name, contact number, email ID, address, etc., and then click on the “Save and Next” button.

Step 4: Upload your SBI Clerk handwritten declaration, photograph, and signature in the required format as specified by the State Bank of India. The permissible size of the photograph should be 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm, and it must be a passport-sized photo with a white background. Both the photograph and the signature need to be clear and legible. The permissible file size for the photograph must be a minimum of 20 KB and a maximum of 50 KB, while the signature should be between 10 KB and 20 KB.

Step 5: Fill in your academic details and professional qualifications in this step of your online application process. After entering the details, click on the “Save and Next” button.

Step 6: Preview your application form one last time, as you won’t be allowed to make any changes afterward. Click on the “Save and Next” button after reviewing your application form.

Step 7: Pay your application fee using an online payment option, such as a Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.

Step 8: Click on the Submit button. Once you do this, your application form will be submitted successfully. SBI will send you an email containing your registration ID and password, which you will use for further login into the official website.

SBI Clerk Salary:

The starting salary for an SBI Clerk in 2025 will be Rs 19,900. Detailed information about the salary structure will be provided in the official notification. In addition to the salary, candidates will receive various benefits, including reimbursement of certain expenses, a provident fund, pension under a new pension scheme, medical benefits, leave fare, and other facilities.
