Breaking News : Multi vehicle accident takes place near Navale Bridge : No Casualties Reported; Truck Driver Injured

On 14^th September, 3 heavy vehicles – dumper, truck & trailer – met with a fierce accident at Katraj-Dehu Bypass road near Navale Bridge.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Pandurang Waghmare, Assistant Police Inspector, Sinhagad Road Traffic Division, said “The accident took place on 14^th September at 2:45 pm. A dumper wanted to turn right from Katraj-Dehu Bypass. A truck was standing behind it. A massive trailer came from behind and, from prima facie information, losing control of the trailer, it hit the truck fiercely, causing the truck to further collide with the dumper.”

As per further information from Waghmare, the driver of the truck is severely injured with both his legs in dire condition. He has been admitted to a nearby hospital. The drivers of the dumper and trailer have not been injured in the accident.

A case has been registered at Sinhagad Road Police Station. Further investigation into the case is underway.

Due to the current situation, the traffic police made every effort to clear the bottleneck as soon as possible. The traffic flow has been restored.
