The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to announce the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 this week. Students will be able to access their marksheets through official websites, DigiLocker and the UMANG app once results are declared.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Class 12 board examination results for 2026 this week, according to multiple media reports and updates circulating on official digital platforms.

Speculation around the result announcement intensified after DigiLocker displayed a “Class 12 Result Coming Soon” banner, indicating that preparations for the release are underway.

Although CBSE has not officially confirmed the exact date and time yet, reports suggest that the results are likely to be announced during the second week of May.

Once declared, students from Science, Commerce and Humanities streams will be able to check and download their provisional marksheets online through multiple official platforms, including cbse.gov.inresults.cbse.nic.in, DigiLocker and the UMANG app.

To access their results, students will need important login credentials such as roll number, school number, admit card ID and date of birth. Without these details, students may face difficulty downloading their digital marksheets.

CBSE is also expected to provide digitally verified documents through its online repository, including marksheets, migration certificates and skill certificates. Students can use provisional digital marksheets for college admissions, counselling and document verification until original certificates are issued by schools.

This year, the CBSE Class 12 examinations were conducted between February 17 and April 10, 2026, for lakhs of students across the country. Reports suggest that the board’s On-Screen Marking (OSM) system has helped speed up the evaluation process compared to previous years.

At the same time, reports of discrepancies in a few answer sheets reportedly led to re-checking in select cases. However, sources indicated that the overall result schedule remains on track, with the board focusing on accurate and error-free mark compilation before publication.

Meanwhile, data trends from previous years continue to draw attention. Girls have consistently outperformed boys in CBSE Class 12 results over the last decade. While the gender gap has reduced significantly since 2015, girls have continued to maintain a higher pass percentage every year.

Another major trend has been the sharp increase in high scorers over the years. In 2016, around 9,351 students scored 95 per cent and above. By 2020, that number had crossed 38,000. The highest surge was recorded in 2021 during the pandemic-affected evaluation cycle, when over 70,000 students scored 95 per cent or above.

Students are being advised to rely only on official CBSE websites and verified platforms for updates and avoid misinformation or fake result links circulating online.
