CCTV Video: Fatal Shooting and Stabbing Incident Shakes Indapur, Young Man Attacked at Hotel Dining Table

Pune: In a shocking incident that unfolded at the Jagdamba Hotel along the Pune-Solapur National Highway bypass road, a young man was fatally shot and stabbed while dining with friends. The victim, identified as Avinash Dhanve, aged 34 and a resident of Alandi, succumbed to his injuries on the spot. 

According to Indapur Police, Avinash and his friends had arrived at the hotel for lunch when another vehicle pulled up, and a group of assailants emerged.

The attackers fired two bullets at Avinash, one hitting him in the right side of the head and the other in the right thigh, before stabbing him with a Koyota knife. Despite the swift response from the police, who cordoned off the area, the perpetrators managed to flee the scene. Dhanve’s associates fled in fear upon witnessing the attack. It was later revealed that both Dhanve and his friends had criminal backgrounds.

The incident, which occurred around 8 o’clock on Saturday night, has sent shockwaves through the community, with suspicions arising of a potential gang-related altercation. The brazen attack, unfolding at a hotel dining table, underscores the urgency for law enforcement to address escalating violence in the region.
