Pune: According to a statement released on November 1, the Centre has accumulated ₹500 crore through the disposal of office scrap during the recently concluded cleanliness campaign. 

The statement further revealed that a total revenue of ₹1,100 crore has been generated by disposing of office scrap during the government’s campaigns from 2021 to 2023.

Additionally, the statement issued by the Personnel Ministry highlighted that the third special campaign, which took place from October 2 to 31 this year, contributed ₹500 crore to the revenue. 

This campaign involved Swachhata initiatives at over 2.53 lakh sites and resulted in the liberation of 154 lakh square feet of space for efficient office utilization.

Singh emphasized that India’s largest campaign for institutionalizing cleanliness and reducing pendency in government offices has witnessed numerous best practices and milestones. Additionally, he stated that the special campaign 3.0 concluded on October 31, 2023, yielding exceptional results. The evaluation phase will commence on November 10, 2023, after collecting all the data.
