Chatuhshringi police seize 650 kgs of adulterated ghee in Pashan

Pune: One individual has been apprehended for engaging in the production and sale of 700 kilograms of adulterated ghee in Eknath Nagar, Pashan. 

The detained suspect has been identified as Tejsingh Rajput, a 38-year-old resident of Rajasthan. Rajput had established his adulterated ghee operation in a room, prompting policemen Baba Dangde and Irfan Momin of the Chatuhshringi police team to investigate the matter.

Following a successful raid, the police have notified the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) about the situation. Senior Police Inspector Balaji Pandhare, Crime Branch Inspector Ankush Chintaman, Jagannath Jankar, Assistant Inspector Narendra Patil, Sub-Inspector Rupesh Chalke, Baba Dangde, Irfan Momin, Shrikant Waghwale, and Dnyaneshwar Mulay were all present during the operation.

While talking to Pune Pulse, Balaji Pandhare added, ”A thorough investigation is being carried out in this case, and an FIR has been registered by the FDA in this regard.”

The police seized 650 kgs of adulterated ghee,135 kg oil, 105 kg dalda, 54 empty tin boxes, machines used for packaging the tin and box lids, material worth Rs 3.5 lakhs.The police have informed the FDA authorities about the incident.
