Chinchwad Assembly Constituency is preparing for a by-poll election and the election commission is gearing up to conduct the process smoothly and transparently. The election officer, Sachin Dhole, has appealed to voters to exercise their right to vote without falling prey to any temptation.

To ensure that every voter receives their voter slip, which contains information about the location of the polling station, the election system is distributing slips to voters at their homes.

The process is being conducted through 510 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and 84 nodal officers.

Nayab Tehsildar Shweta Alhat is overseeing the distribution of around 5,68,000 voter slips under the guidance of the Election Officer. Special efforts are being made to increase the percentage of voting, with art troupes, cultural program groups, and college student volunteers involved in the campaign. To encourage voters in areas where the turnout was low during the previous polls, special campaigns are being conducted.

There are 510 polling stations in the Chinchwad Assembly Constituency and facilities for the disabled will be available at these stations. Volunteers have been appointed to assist disabled persons, senior citizens and physically challenged persons to reach and return from the polling station.

All the systems have been kept alert to prevent violation of the code of conduct. Bharari and patrol teams are keeping an eye on all movements and suspicious vehicles are being checked at important checkpoints by the police system. The Election Officer has urged citizens to file complaints immediately on the C-Vigil app if there are any violations of the code of conduct.

Officers assigned for election polling work have been trained according to their work and most of the works, including the finalization of marked voter lists, planning of postal voting and training of staff, have been completed. Adequate parking facilities at polling booths sites have also been arranged.

PMPML’s buses and other vehicles have been arranged for the voting process, as well as for transporting employees. GPS systems have been installed in these vehicles as a precaution. Small-scale programs and street plays by artists are being used to convey the importance of voting to the public in public buildings, hospitals, colleges, government offices, and various societies.
