Chinchwad Sees Massive Women’s Rally as Ashwini Jagtap Champions Support for Shankar Jagtap
Chinchwad: In a major show of support, thousands of women gathered in the Chinchwad assembly constituency under the leadership of MLA Ashwini Jagtap to back the BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP-RPI (A) grand alliance candidate, Shankar Jagtap. Known affectionately as “sisters,” the women pledged their support with the slogan, “This time, Shankarbhau for MLA.”
A series of women-led rallies were organized across Rahatani’s neighborhoods, including Sinhgad Colony, Baliraj Colony, and Sai Sagar Colony, with MLA Ashwini Jagtap spearheading efforts to promote Shankar Jagtap’s candidacy. The events drew a large turnout, as thousands of women from the Rahatani area joined enthusiastically.
Addressing the gathering, Ashwini Jagtap highlighted key developmental work initiated by the late Laxmanbhau Jagtap in the Chinchwad constituency, such as road improvements and healthcare projects, including the Thergaon hospital. She emphasized Shankar Jagtap’s qualifications and dedication to public service, encouraging voters to support him to continue this legacy. Jagtap urged attendees to vote for the BJP’s “Lotus” symbol on election day, November 20, to sustain local development.
The rally’s success was made possible through the efforts of former councilor Savita Khule, social worker Suman Nakhate, former councilor Babasaheb Tribhuvan, and other community leaders, who worked diligently to organize the event.
