Pune : Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has launched an e- catalyst app for citizens to report complaints against pollution in their locality. The app has to be downloaded through google play store or apple, only then it allows residents to report issues regarding pollution.

With the launch of the app, citizens hope for transparency and effective resolution of pollution complaints. The initiative was launched under the G20 summit.

However the MPCB regional officer Shankar Waghmare, said,  “The application is available for the last two years and we are receiving a good response from people. After getting a complaint, immediate action is being taken after the officer is informed.”

Citizens are eager to see the MPCB take drastic steps to control pollution, particularly noise pollution. The app provides a platform for residents to easily report pollution and track the status of their complaints. The hope is that the MPCB will work towards finding solutions to the pollution problems faced by residents in Maharashtra.
