City Acquires Multiple Parking Spots Ahead of Prime Minister’s Pune Visit
Pune, September 24: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Pune on September 26, 2024, several locations in the city have been acquired for vehicle parking. With a large influx of citizens expected to arrive from across the district for the event, Pune District Magistrate and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority, Dr. Suhas Divse, issued the orders for the acquisition of these spaces.
In preparation for the Prime Minister’s visit and to ensure the safety of dignitaries and maintain law and order, the District Magistrate has invoked powers under Section 65 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
The following locations have been designated for parking on September 26: Bhide Bridge (riverfront), Patil Plaza, New English School (Tilak Road), D.P. Road (near Mhatre Bridge), New English School (Ramanbaug), Harjeevan Hospital (Savarkar Chowk), PMPML Ground (Puram Chowk), Nilayam Talkies, Vimalatai Garware School, Abasaheb Garware College, Kataria Secondary School, Minerva Parking (Mandai), and Hamalwada Parking.
