Commuters from Kondhwa, Salunke Vihar road can now travel by e-bus

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will inaugurate the buses on August 21

Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) is all set to add 90 e-buses and an electric vehicle depot at its Pune station bus depot. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will inaugurate the buses on August 21.

Out of 150 e-buses assigned to the Pune station bus depot, 90 will be given in the first phase. The buses are being provided in the FEM 2 Scheme, wherein each bus costs Rs 55 lakhs as a subsidy.

These buses will be run on the GCC scheme.The airconditioned e-buses will be 12-metres long with a seating capacity of 33 passengers. It will have special boarding facility for the differently abled and facilities for mobile charging, not to forget the IITMS.

These buses will run on 15 different routes including Hinjawadi Maan Phase 3, Gokhale Nagar, Alandi, Vishrantwadi, Lohegaon, Manjari Bdruk, Ranjangaon, Karegaon, Kharadi, Viman Nagar, Kondhwa Khurd, Salunkhe Vihar road, Chinchwadgaon, Shewalewadi, etc. A total of 45 AC / DC chargers have been installed in the Pune station bus depot.
