Couple cheat Wakad pharmacy owner by showing fake transaction details ; Police register complaint

Pune: The Wakad police have booked a couple for cheating a medical store owner in Wakad.
As per information from the complaint, at Sangam Medico, on August 27, 2023, at 3:30 pm, a couple, the husband identified as Shivraj Bhosale, bought pills, medicines and other items from the complainant Naresh Chaudhari’s medical store and transferred the bill of Rs 3,650. However, the money transfer wasn’t real. He showed fake transaction screenshot and fled. The accused defrauded the plaintiff of the said amount.
The couple had also defrauded a person called Anilkumar Bagdaram Chaudhary of Rs 4,400.
The couple is said to have scammed several other people as well.
A complaint has been registered at Wakad Police Station under Sections 420, 468, 471 and 34
of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation into the case is underway.
