Pune Metro to soon complete work of Swargate to Shivaji Nagar station

Pune: The work of Swargate metro station is 85 percent complete as Pune Metro has started work on war footing to complete it. However, metro authorities are expressing the belief that the work of the Swargate underground metro station will be done soon.
Dr Hemant Sonawane, Executive Director, Public Relations and Administration, Pune Metro said, “Along with Swargate metro station, the work of Mandai, Budhwar Peth metro station is also going on rapidly. However, looking at the swiftness of work, it seems that among these three stations, the work of Swargate station will be completed first.”
As per information, the second phase of the metro has been opened recently. Metro administration is also working on the next two phases on a war footing. Soon, the metro section from Ruby Hall Station to Ramwadi will be opened for passengers. Three subway stations on the Civil Court to Swargate route are yet to be completed.

To complete these works, the works on all three stations are going on simultaneously by the metro.
Swargate is the focal point of the city and is known as the heart of Pune. There is movement of numerous citizens and vehicles every day. A major station of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation is also located here.
Hence, the metro administration is constructing a grand commercial station – a multimodal hub of the metro. The station is underground and the upper floors of the building will be used for commercial purposes. The work is now nearing completion.
The underground work of Swargate station is currently 85 per cent complete and the elevated building is now under construction.
The elevated work of four to five floors is being done and soon it will be open for the people of Pune.
