While the film is still attracting audiences to theatres, reports suggest that its digital premiere is not too far away. According to OTTplay, Dhurandhar is expected to stream on Netflix after completing its theatrical window. The tentative OTT release date being discussed is January 30, 2026, although an official announcement from the producers or the platform is still awaited.

Dhurandhar unfolds as a gripping spy thriller with Ranveer Singh in a fierce and layered role. He plays Hamza, a man who ventures deep into the dangerous lanes of Lyari and gradually embeds himself within a complex web of crime, espionage and power. As the narrative progresses, Hamza rises to become a crucial figure in the shadowy ISI–criminal nexus, setting the stage for high-stakes confrontations and moral dilemmas.

The film boasts a formidable ensemble cast. Alongside Ranveer Singh, the story is powered by performances from Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun, each playing significant roles that add depth and weight to the narrative.

Away from the big screen, Ranveer Singh was recently seen with his wife, actor Deepika Padukone, at the Mumbai airport late on a Monday night. The couple appeared relaxed and cheerful as they headed out for a vacation. Dressed in coordinated black outfits, they held hands, smiled for the cameras and waved at photographers before making their way inside.

Veteran filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has been particularly vocal in his praise for Dhurandhar. In recent interviews, he claimed that the Ranveer Singh-led film has effectively “kicked out” South cinema from its dominant position, while also describing Aditya Dhar’s directorial as a strong “template” film. According to current estimates, Dhurandhar—now in its third successful week—has set its sights on crossing ₹1,100 crore at the global box office.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Varma further amplified the film’s impact by predicting that its influence will only grow stronger with the release of Dhurandhar Part 2, slated for March. In his post, he stated that while the first part may have scared the South film industry, the second instalment is poised to “terrify” it.
