Diljit Dosanjh captivated the audience with his performance in Mumbai on Thursday night. While on stage, he addressed the advisory from the Maharashtra government and promised his fans a great experience at his concert. Currently on his Dil-Luminati tour, the singer has received several notices urging him to refrain from performing songs related to drugs and alcohol.
At the Mumbai event, Diljit mentioned in Hindi, “This morning, I found out that another advisory has been issued against me. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of all the advisories. I guarantee you’ll have twice the fun tonight. I’ll kick off the show with a thought I had during Yoga. I’m sure you all are familiar with Sagar Manthan!”
Diljit shared that during Sagar Manthan, the gods drank the amrit, while Shiva retained the poison in his throat without consuming it. He expressed, “Isse maine yeh seekha hai ki chahe log kitna bhi vish aap par daalna chahein, aapko use apne andar nahi lena chahiye. Log aapko rokne ki koshish karenge, lekin aapko kabhi bhi usse apne kaam ya apne upar asar nahi karne dena chahiye.” Additionally, he acknowledged Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 by imitating his iconic move and saying, “Aaj jhukega nahi…”

Before the show, Mumbai’s District Child Protection Officer issued a notice to Diljit, warning him about promoting alcohol and drug use during the show. The Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights also sent him a notice advising against calling children on stage. After the show, Diljit shared snippets of his performance on Instagram and wrote, “I rise above your advice.”
