The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has given relief to motorists regarding ‘FASTag’. Those who have not yet updated ‘e-KYC’ of ‘FASTag’ have been given an extension till February 29.

‘FASTag’ for commuters, who have not updated e-KYC, will be deactivated. As a result, they have to pay double toll.

About 50 percent of motorists in Pune city and district have updated ‘e-KYC’ of ‘FASTag’. FASTag has to be linked with PAN card along with Aadhaar card while updating e-KYC.

‘FASTag’ was made mandatory for four-wheelers in the country from February 15, 2021 in order to reduce the congestion at the toll booths and not take too long for the toll.
