FDA raid in Pune : Now it is an adulterated paneer factory at Kondhwa Budruk

Sanjay Naragude, Joint Commissioner of Pune Division of Administration, has appealed to citizens to register a complaint on the toll-free number 1800222365 in case of such incidents.

The Food and Drug Administration Office, Pune raided M Sadguru Kripa Milk and Milk products factory located in the Tilekarnagar area of Kodhwa Budruk. Food items worth Rs 22,65,000, including adulterated paneer, skimmed milk powder and palmolein oil have been confiscated. This is the third such factory since September 5 which has been caught making adulterated paneer.

As paneer is a perishable commodity, the seized stock has been destroyed on the spot. The samples taken have been sent to the laboratory for examination and legal action will be taken as soon as the report is received.

Under the guidance of Food and Drug Administration Minister Sanjay Rathod and Commissioner Parimalsingh, the team consisting of Assistant Commissioner Rupali Khamane, Food Safety Officer Supriya Jagpat and Sopan Ingle from the Pune office, initiated the action.

Generally adulterated and low-quality food items are sold in the market during the festive seasons. He said names of informants shall be kept confidential.
